You will work for a specialist organisation renowned for their service in helping clients with complex mental health support needs progress towards independence.
Summary of the role
You will be managing a hardworking team of 5, you will work closely, and will provide support to the Centre Manager.
Your role is mainly operational and will circle around overseeing health and safety checks which encompasses Welfare Checks, Medication, Fire hazard, Building checks. You will help improve the service where needed and promote best practice where needed.
You may also be expected to assist in some aspects of personal care – so you must be willing to help at all times. Depending on service needs, you could be expected to key work with caseloads, deliver risk assessments, and set up support plans for the service users when needed.
The service supports people who have been released from hospital, and provides care accommodation until they become independent. Your team will support service-users at the project. Helping them to engage in the community such as accessing community services, as well as work and education opportunities.
The overall goal is to help service-users to become independent and to recover.
Working hours and Salary
Please note: this role is for 30 hours a week (4 days – 7.5 hours a day), and the basic salary is £22,240 plus added remunerations for added shifts taken such as waking nights / sleep-ins, and extra shifts.
The service runs for 24 hours and operates on a rota basis so it is important that you are flexible to work on a weekend.
Expect to work in shift patterns which could be from 9AM-5PM, 10AM-6PM, 2PM-10PM, etc…
Depending on service needs, you must be willing to take on sleep-in shifts when needed where you stay in from 10PM-8AM (you get an extra £78)
