If you have set up and run your own business before, you tend to find the whole business start-up thing fascinating. Having done it yourself, you are probably advising friends and family on how to do it, or, you might have even coached business owners or starts up in the past, and love watching things develop from scratch.
You will be joining a large charity who have won awards for being a great employer to work for (best companies / investors in people). They deliver government funded programmes to help boost the economy. For this particular programme, the people you are supporting will be referred via DWP, and will be utilising universal credit at present. Your aim is to coach and mentor them to become independent and create a sustainable business. Mostly home based, you will deliver one to one sessions with people that include reviewing business ideas, assessing cash flow, and helping people to create a business plan. You will then coach and mentor them to be successful over a set period of time. Business might range from self-employed cleaners, cake making businesses, online retail sales (amazon market place sellers for example) or dog walking services.
Please apply via this advert. You must have set up a business from scratch before. Or advised business owners in a formal capacity (so you might have worked as a business coach or business mentor). You will have a good grasp of cash flow forecasts and business plans.
Please note this will be a home based role. There might be occasions where you will need to pop out to job centres to meet clients when restrictions are lifted.
