Criminology graduate looking to make a career within criminal justice? You will be joining a really supportive large charity who are great at developing grads looking to launch their career.
You will be making a real difference to people’s lives. Working from home until at least the spring, you will be providing support to ex-offenders who are attached to Nuneaton, Leamington Spa and Coventry probation trusts. Ideally you will live in or near to Nuneaton, as the majority of clients are based there, and Nuneaton probation trust will be your main hub to work from when things go back to normal (with travel to the other two sites.
You will provide one to one advice and guidance with a key focus on employment support. Creating CV’s, applying for jobs, navigating the internet for job searching, and providing advice on the disclosure process. In addition to this, you will sign post clients to other services so they receive well rounded support. The agencies you refer them to could cover areas such as housing, benefits advice, family re-integration or drug and alcohol support.
You will be a criminology graduate. Alternatively, people who have worked as a prison officer, probation officer, support worker, resettlement worker, employment advisor or recruitment consultant might be a good fit for this role.
