If you want a leadership role where you are running a centre, leading a team, and genuinely improving outcomes for young people with SEND, this could be a great next step.
This role gives you ownership of a well-established Supported Internships and Study Programmes provision in Barnet, including a DFN Project Search programme. You will focus on day-to-day operations, staff leadership, and learner outcomes, with plenty of support around you.
What you will be doing:
• Line managing around 11 to 12 staff including Tutors and Skills Coaches
• Overseeing delivery for approximately 44 learners across Study Programmes and Supported Internships
• Running the day-to-day operations of the centre
• Ensuring education compliance, safeguarding, and learner welfare
• Coordinating programme delivery and supporting curriculum planning
• Working closely with families, employers, local authorities, and internal teams
What you will need:
• Experience working in education or training settings
• A teaching, lecturing, training or management qualification
• Experience managing staff or leading programmes
• Strong organisation, communication, and people skills
• Degree level education is desirable but not essential
This role suits candidates from post 16 education, training, or employability programmes, including Centre Managers, Curriculum Managers, Education Programme Managers, or Tutors, Lecturers or Trainers ready to step into management (with demonstrable senior experience gained).
This role would not suit someone without direct education or training experience.

Important: Please note, this is a full-time role, Mon to Fri, 9- 5. It’s a centre-based role (so no home working). And you will need to currently be within one-hour max travel time to Barnet currently.
