You will be heading up employer accounts for a national charity who support people with a learning disability into employment. It’s a home-based role, with very occasional travel. And although a 9-month contract, it could well extend into a longer-term role.
The charity provides a free recruitment service to businesses. Which is proving very popular in the current climate with staff shortages. There is no shortage of employers, with currently around 8 large employers all in process keen to be working with the charity to help them solve their hiring problems. They also buy into the benefits of employing clients with learning disabilities.
Managing a team of 2 but helping to coordinate a team of around 30 in local regions, you will oversee recruitment across the country. A recent example is a national brewery contacted this charity as they had a need for staff. After meeting with their senior leaders, the National Account Manager then introduced each local brewery contact with the local charity lead. As recruitment needs come up across the brewery, the National Account Manager checks in with the local team, who are linking up clients with the brewery, submitting them through for interview, managing feedback, supporting the placements with onboarding, and providing ongoing support. You will oversee the process to ensure its on track. And report through the brewery’s senior leadership team.
