Would you like to join a national charity supporting ex-offenders back into work?
You will be joining an organisation that looks after its people (investors in people and best companies’ awards). You will be working with a supportive manager, with lots of development and training.
Currently this is a home-based role but as things return to normal, you will be split between probation trusts across Stevenage, Cheshunt, St Albans, and Luton.
The aim of the role is to support job ready ex-offenders back into employment so day to day, you will have 1-2-1 sessions with your clients to coach and mentor them towards employment. Specifically, this involves researching the local labour market, finding opportunities online and supporting your clients through the application process. This will involve helping them create a CV, writing a cover letter, preparing for interviews and coaching them through the disclosure process.
There will be employer outreach involved which will be reaching out employers each month (existing employers or ones that you have not worked with before) with a view to bringing on board one new employer a month who you will be discussing vacancies for your customers with.
You must have experience in working as an employment advisor, employer engagement consultant, recruitment consultant (or very similar).
