Looking for something part-time, people-focused, and genuinely rewarding?
This could be just the thing.
We’re looking for someone to cover maternity leave from mid/late December to end of March (around 4 months) as part of a brilliant mental health support programme.
It’s 30 hours per week. Open to flexible patterns, however, you must be based in the office on Wednesdays at St.Neots
Key Details
What’s the role?
You’ll support people with mental health challenges—often linked to autism or learning disabilities—helping them return to work, stay in work, or explore new options. Support is delivered over seven structured sessions, tailored to each person. It’s not about rushing anyone into a job—it’s about realistic, wellbeing-focused outcomes.
You’ll typically see 3–4 clients per day, working from the St Neots office (every Wednesday), as well as community spaces in Biggleswade, Bedford, and Leighton Buzzard. There’s also home working (flexible, no set days). Referrals come from Talking Therapies, GPs, and local charities.
Why it’s a great fit
You’ll join a supportive, down-to-earth team, with a solid induction and the freedom to manage your own diary. The project is funded until March 2026, and the charity often wins new contracts—so future opportunities are possible (not guaranteed).
Who it’s for
This role could suit someone with a background in mental health, advocacy, or employability. It’s also a great fit for people who’ve worked as a recruitment consultant, employment adviser, HR adviser, criminal justice support worker, or supported housing officer. If you’ve supported people one-to-one and can build trust in a calm, encouraging way, we’d love to hear from you.
How to apply
Apply via this ad—we reply to everyone. If you don’t hear back within 72 hours, use the “Send Us a Message” form on the Red 5 People website and we’ll get back to you. Want to chat first? Call the office and ask for Lawrence.
