You will work for a specialist organisation who are passionate about helping people progress towards Employment, Training, and Education
For this project, you will deliver a specialist contract to help offenders reintegrate back into society.
You will be based at HMP Dartmoor (a category C men’s prison) with a view to commencing community delivery if desired after 3 – 6 months.
Working hours are Monday to Friday (9AM-5PM) – 1 hour lunch break. Friday will be work from home!
You will work with a caseload of around 50 offenders to provide support around training, education and employment whilst signposting them to services covering housing / resettlement needs to ensure they are receiving well-rounded support as they re-integrate back into society.
There are ETE targets involved so you must be target-driven, and able to work independently. Targets include enrolments, feedback, training, education and employment. These are agreed and split equally with the rest of the team.
You MUST have access to your own vehicle for this role – this is essential. Mileage is at 30p per mile.
You MUST be fully vaccinated i.e. 2 vaccinations and a booster as this is required at HMP Dartmoor.
You ideally have experience of working within prison or probation. Otherwise, you may have worked as an Employment Advisor, Probation Officer, Case Manager, or as a Resettlement Officer.
This is also a good opportunity for Criminology graduates with some work experience (volunteering is fine).
