You will be working for an established organisation renowned for their expertise and dedication in supporting clients with learning disabilities support needs.
Please note: this role is currently a 1 year FTC (subject to extension), at 30 hours weekly.
You will be responsible for building up your caseload (40 in a year), delivering employment workshops, In-Work Support, as well as conducting Employer Engagement to source work placement opportunities for your clients – sectors could cover: Retail, Office, Hospitality, Warehousing, Cleaning, etc.
You will also be expected to deliver Learning Disability Awareness sessions to groups of employers through Microsoft Teams or face to face with other Caseworker and Co-Trainer colleagues – it is a team effort!
The employment support contract covers the whole of Manchester. You can be based at their main HQ in Manchester, but will also have the opportunity to work from home.
You will also conduct community outreach work – hotdesking at least 3-4 times a week (depending on your diary) so you must be willing to travel.
Your main targets are to build up your caseload, conduct Employer Engagement (we are talking cold-calling, networking, and marketing), and In-Work support.
Generally 9AM-5PM (with half an hour for lunch), but they can be flexible i.e. 8.30AM-4.30PM or 10AM-6PM as long as all appointments are covered
Ideally, you have experience within the Employment Support sector i.e. as an Employment Advisor, Careers Advisor, Job Coach.
But Recruitment Consultants and Psychology Grads (with voluntary/paid work experience within the sector) will also be considered.
