Head of New Business – Criminal Justice Permanent
Home based role working for a national charity who support offenders to rehabilitate. They have won plenty of awards for being a great employer (best companies / investors in people). This is a brand-new role helping them improve the services they currently deliver and supporting their future development strategically.
There is a large budget to spend on their current criminal justice contract which is delivered across several regions in the South of England (Birmingham and below). The current contract provides support in prisons and probation trusts so offenders can access services and support around housing, education, and employment. Managing a team of 2 you will:
- Review the existing programme, reviewing gaps in provision and then looking at solutions (this could be internal, or external by bringing on board supply chain partners)
- Creating legacy projects. This could include creating a social enterprise that benefits ex-offenders.
- Review joint funding options with partners for service delivery
- Leading on bids and applications
- Support with onboarding and mobilisation of subcontractors
To apply, you must have bid / tender writing experience within public sector funding such as DWP, ESF, MOJ or ESFA for example. Ideally you will have an operational background within criminal justice, but this isn’t essential.
