Have you manged an employment service before, however you felt the clients needed support in other areas of their lives before they could find employment? This brand new service is exactly that. You will be setting up and managing a project specific to ex-offenders. Rather than focus just on employment, it will address key areas such as housing, finance, health, confidence and education. So the individual has a good foundation once they have left prison, and can then ultimately secure employment and independence.
Imagine a community hub. Where ex-offenders can work with their peers and get involved in sports, media and arts projects. Attend group sessions on confidence building and motivation. Enrol onto employability workshops or attend IT classes. Have access to specialist support providers who can help them with housing or debt issues. And they will receive a mentor to support them all the way through. This is how offender resettlement should be. And you will be managing this service.
Please apply via this advert. You must have previously managed staff before on a similar project such as employment support, supported housing, offender management or prison education. If you have any questions, or would like to talk to someone feel free to call the office and ask for either Lawrence, Ben or James.
