They are recruiting for Employment Specialists, with roles available across Manchester City Centre and Stockport.
The Role You’ll be fully trained to support people with a learning disability into employment, using two key routes:
1:1 advice and guidance:
You’ll typically have around 8 meetings per week with participants, supporting with:
- CV creation
- Job applications
- Interview preparation
Employer engagement:
There is lots of training on this. You’ll reach out to organisations that could be a good fit for your customers, exploring potential opportunities and discussing reasonable adjustments that may help them succeed in work.
Location / Working Pattern This is a community-based role, working from locations such as community centres, libraries, or partner provider offices.
- All travel between sites is paid (excluding your normal commute)
- You will spend one day per week in the Stockport office for meetings and training
Experience Needed You don’t need employment support experience — you’ll be trained.
You will need one of the following:
- Voluntary or paid experience supporting vulnerable people (e.g. mental health support, mentoring, university projects), or
- 6+ months’ experience in a target-driven role (sales, recruitment, customer service) involving outbound business development (businesses or consumers)
You’ll bring empathy, strong communication skills, and confidence working independently in the community.
