Senior Keyworker Support Specialist (Mental Health) – LZ697 Permanent

You will work for an established organisation renowned for their specialism in supporting people with complex mental health support needs.

The service supports people who have been released from hospital and provides care accommodation until they become independent.

In summary

You will be hands-on and will be responsible for overseeing complex cases, KPI’s and reviews to make sure that these are completed on a timely manner. You will also serve as an additional point of contact for Care Coordinators, Care Program Approach, Participate in Ward Rounds, Safeguarding and Incidents Reports and ensure that follow up actions have been carried out by the Mental Health Recovery Workers.

You will also be expected to provide additional support to Mental Health Recovery Workers – on the ground and assisting on practical tasks such as making sure that key working sessions are done on time, reviews are completed on time and with good standards, etc…

The service offers at least 5 ½ hours of support provisions per resident per week (this is a combination of key work sessions, informal contact, attending activities, workshops, etc. You will be expected to key work with a caseload of at least 2 service-users – helping them to access community services, as well as work and education opportunities. With a big focus on supporting them to become independent and to recover.

Salary and hours of work

The basic salary is at £22,960 plus added remunerations should you take on waking nights / added shifts.

37.5 hours per week. Typically, Monday-Friday (11AM-7PM – they can be flexible on working hours), although, flexibility is required to cover shifts when needed (this includes waking nights)

Please note that they are a 24/7 service and operates on a rota basis so it is important that you are flexible to work on a weekend.

You must have experience of working with people with mental health support needs. People who have previously worked as a Support Worker, Key Worker, Project Worker, Mental Health Support Worker, Youth Worker looking for a step-up would be a good match.
