Led a team within further education but would like a more strategic position? Does a hybrid work model suit? This is a newly created role working on the recently launched London Mayor’s Academies Programme for London.
You will lead a team of 5 to identify skills gaps across London employers. Partner with organisations to identify job seekers for employers. And then work with training providers to access the qualifications needed. .
The specific sector is Green Spaces (you don’t need to have a background in the green economy or horticulture though). This is a sector identified as crucial to London’s recovery after the pandemic, and there is a need for skilled staff for employers. Green Spaces includes parks, gardens, recreation space, housing estates and playgrounds for example. The charity also has their own skills delivery team, so you will ensure they are reaching the awarding bodies standards for their own suit of qualifications.
Please apply via this advert – everyone gets a response. You must have experience of managing teams and will have a further education background with knowledge of accreditation and liaising with awarding bodies. Green space or horticulture knowledge is an advantage, but not essential.
You might have previously worked as a Curriculum Manager, Skills Manager, AEB Manager, Apprenticeships Manager, Head of Skills, or Accreditation Manager.
Please note, this is a 2-year fixed term contract but could well extend beyond this. Please call the office and ask for James if you would like to talk to someone in person about the role (number on the Red 5 People website).
