You will be working for an established mental health charity who specialises in helping people with mental health support needs reintegrate back into society.
The role
As Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator, your role would be mainly split into 2 main functions:
Each Volunteer will work with at least 1 service-user weekly, and delivering at least 1-2 hours of support weekly (depending on the service user’s needs – these can be done face-to-face or via phone call)
This is a varied role so no day / week is the same!
Targets
This is a holistic service so there are no hard targets.
In terms of recruiting volunteers for the service, there are currently 15 – 20 registered volunteers (10 are active). The contract target is 30 volunteers – so one of your main targets is to get to this capacity.
Other targets include: number of active cases, support plans completed/reviewed, request + completion of satisfaction survey, increase in well-being (measured using WEMWBS)
Overall aim is to have service-users receive befriending support for between 6-12 months and feel ready to move to other part of the service or have a planned exit and more independence.
Working Arrangement
Our client offers a hybrid-model of working where you can work from home for 3 x days a week, and office-based for 2 x days a week (subject to change depending on your diary).
Why should you apply for this role
They have been awarded as Investors in People and are a great organisation to work for due to the support and care they offer their staff.
